His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president of the UAE Falcons Federation, has approved to launch the 2nd edition of Preliminary Races for Falcons “Telwah” in coming November on Al Ruwayyah fields in Dubai with total 2 runs and 16 Rounds, with different distances for Open Public and Owners categories.
The first run will be held between November 9-12, 2022 at a distance of 300 m. 4 rounds for Open Public category and 4 rounds for Owners’ category. 4 kinds of falcon (Jeer Shaheen (Farkh), Jeer Teba (Farkh), Pure Jeer (Farkh), and Qarmousha (Farkh) shall participate in the races. The second run will take place between November 23-26, 2022 at a distance of 400 m for the same participant and falcon Categories.
These races are being held for the second consecutive year, due to the desire of the federation to prepare the falconers before the start of the race season, after choosing the right time for the event, so that everyone can focus on the races and a good level and great results can be achieved.
The UAE Falcons Federation continues its efforts to promote, revive the heritage of falcon’s races, and disseminate its code of practice through the federation’s ongoing initiatives and programs to highlight its own functions in the ongoing process.
