His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness, the Crown Prince of Dubai, for his precious confidence, stressing that heritage sports are an integral part of the culture and history of the UAE, which, thanks to the interest and support of the wise leadership, has become an honorable global model for preserving heritage and highlighting its features. authentic.

His Highness said: “The sport of falconry was and still is one of the sports associated with our conscience, national identity, and customs that we inherited from the founding fathers and through generations. For decades, this sport has received great attention from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him and grant him peace. His Highness added: “The heritage of our fathers and grandfathers is a great responsibility that we all bear, and we have to preserve it as they left it to us in this unique way from which we foresee how to preserve our heritage, and as they were keen to be proud of our history and traditions, which constitutes for us a motive for continuous development by leaving clear imprints on the procession of traditional sports that will be passed down through generations. The General Sports Authority issued Resolution No. (26) of 2021 announcing the Emirates Falconry Federation headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where the Federation is responsible for spreading the practice of sports and supervising the organization of its various races and events to achieve the sustainability and development of this ancient heritage sport.

The Emirates Falcon Federation will work to enhance the concept of leadership in order to achieve global competitiveness through the application of all means that enhance the heritage of the UAE by publishing all information and facts related to the sport of falconry, how to practice it and the most prominent technical aspects in it to raise the level of awareness and education desired for this sport, which is considered Of the authentic cultural legacies that the people of the country are proud of.
